Atacama region is a beautiful and magical land full of contrasts with the driest desert in the world facing the great Andean Cordillera. Its magnificent mountains and active volcanoes, which receive precipitation as snow, are the origin of the streams that form fertile valleys and stunning lakes giving life and beauty to an otherwise desolate region.
By day the hot sun gives us light and energy, during dawn and dusk the wonderful colors animate the rugged landscape, while at night the crystal clear sky invites us to lift our eyes and contemplate the universe during moving bright starry nights and full moons.
Also, the region is the cultural birthplace of our ancestors, where the ancient people have left us formidable archaeological treasures and today the noble Atacameños are proud to have preserved their ancient culture. Picturesque villages like San Pedro, Caspana and Ayquina are a faithful sample of the preservation of their identity, combining native and Hispanic elements, captivating visitors with the harmony of manmade creations and the surrounding natural beauty of the area. One of the most fulfilling ways to explore this is on a bike, close to the soil, air and sun exploring the most beautiful routes of this magical region in a city break at the same time. An exciting challenge for lovers of real mountain biking.
